Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 28th of October, would conduct a meeting with leaders of the Party.
The meeting is organised to discuss the resignation of Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, who is likely to join the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
According to sources, apart from Vamsi, the TDP President would also discuss about TDP leaders switching to opposition parties. In the past few days, many leaders of the TDP switched their loyalty to the YSRCP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
It is also reported after the resignation of Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, a few Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the TDP from Prakasam district are also planning to leave the TDP.
During the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu would also discuss the decision of the YSRCP regarding Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh.
However, the main focus of the meeting would be the resignation of Vamsi. As of now, the sudden resignation of Vamsi is a topic of discussion for the TDP. It is believed Vallabhaneni Vamsi is planning to join the YSRCP to get rid of the blacksmith case registered against him by the YSRCP.
After the YSRCP came to power, the Party registered many police cases against multiple TDP leaders, due to which many of them chose to switch to the YSRCP.
Although it is speculated Vallabhaneni Vamsi would join the YSRCP, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.
