On the 15th of May, the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government announced an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs to the families whose family members died in a road accident in Prakasam district, A.P.
On the evening of the 14th of May, labourers were coming back from a working site in a tractor, when their tractor collided with an electric pole resulting in 9 deaths. The incident took place around 6:00 P.M.,on the 14th of May at Machavaram village in Naguluppalapadu Mandal, Prakasam.
On the 15th of May, the death toll reached to 10, when Bhagavathi, a 35 year old died while undergoing treatment at Rims hospital.
Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) ministers Balineni Srinivas and Suresh Reddy are scheduled to visit the victims on the afternoon of the 15th of May.
Biswabhusan Harichandan, the Governor of A.P., Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., expressed grief over the incident.
