The Telangana Media bulletin updating the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation reported 2,009 new COVID-19 cases.
On the night of the 1st of October, the Telangana Health Department released the bulletin according to which the State recorded 2,009 new COVID-19 infections and 10 fatalities in 24 hours.
Of the total 2,009 cases, 18 were from Adilabad, 77 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 293 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 32 from Jagtial, 26 from Jangaon, 23 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 25 from Jogulamba Gadwal and 63 from Kamareddy.
The remaining cases were 114 from Karimnagar, 104 from Khammam, 19 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 31 from Mahabubnagar, 43 from Mahabubabad, 33 each from Mancherial, 27 from Medak, 173 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 19 from Mulugu, 40 from Nagarkurnool, 109 from Nalgonda, eight from Narayanpet, 26 from Nirmal, 63 from Nizamabad, 29 from Peddapalli, 52 from Rajanna Siricilla, 171 from Rangareddy, 55 from Sangareddy, 60 from Siddipet, 77 from Suryapet, 23 from Vikarabad, 39 from Wanaparthy, 31 from Warangal Rural, 72 from Warangal Urban and 34 from Yadadri Bhongir.
Of the total COVID-19 cases in Telangana, 23,372 are in home and institutional isolation and 5,248 are in institutional care.
On the other hand, a total of 2,437 persons recovered/discharged on the 1st of October.
With these updates, Telangana has 1,95,609 l positive cases, of which 1,65,844 are recovered/discharged, 28,620 are active cases and 1,145 deceased.
With everyday cases and recoveries, the State has 84.40 % recovery rate.
Meanwhile, as per the Telangana Health Ministry, between the 30th of September and 1st of October, nearly 54,098 COVID-19 tests were conducted, of which reports of another 1,151 samples are awaited.
Till date, the Telangana Health Department conducted as many as 31,04,542 COVID-19 tests.
The population of Telangana is 3,72,20,000.
