Telangana COVID-19 Cases Surge, Reports 300 Plus Cases In Past 24 Hours

Telangana recorded 3,02,724 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with 364 new cases. 

The daily cases breached the 300 mark for the second consecutive day in the past 2 months in Telangana. On the 19th of March, the State reported 313 new COVID-19 cases.

The Telangana Government on the night of the 19th of March, released a media bulletin to update about the COVID-19 situation. According to the media bulletin, the State reported 364 new cases, 189 recoveries and 2 fatalities.

Of the total new cases, 75 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 32 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 31 from Rangareddy, 28 from Jagtial, 16 from Sangareddy, 14 from Nizamabad, 12 each from Karimnagar and Warangal Urban, 11 from Adilabad, 10 each from Nirmal and Yadadri Bhongir, 9 from Rajanna Sircilla, 8 from Mancherial. In addition, 7 cases each from Kamareddy, Khammam, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Vikarabad, 5 from Medak, 4 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jangaon, Komarambheem Asifabad, Nagarkurnool, Peddapalli and Warangal Rural, 3 from Wanaparthy, 2 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpallly and Jogulamba Gadwal and Mahabubabad were reported.

Narayanpet and Mulugu reported zero cases of COVID-19. 

With this, the State has 3,02,724 positive cases, of which 2,607 are active cases, 1,666 deceased cases and 2,98,451 recovered/discharged cases.

Meanwhile, in between Thursday and Friday, the 18th and the 19th of March, the Health Department conducted 66,036 tests for the Novel Coronavirus. With this, the State continued to conduct 60,000 tests regularly. On the 18th of March, the State Health Department conducted 62,972 sample tests for COVID-18.

So far, Telangana conducted as many as 95,48,685 tests for the COVID-19 infection.
