On the 18th of August, the mother of Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, Ms. Krishna Kumari, passed away.
According to sources, Ms. Krishna Kumari, 76 years old, was suffering from prolonged illness and took her last breath on Wednesday morning. She was admitted at Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda, Hyderabad. She was admitted due to age related health issues and passed away at 3:30 A.M.
After the demise of Ms. Krishna Kumari, the mortal remains of Krishna Kumari, the wife of veteran Tamil Nadu Congress leader Kumarai Anandan was kept at the Raj Bhavan for final respects. Later, her mortal remains were taken to Chennai, where her lats rites would be performed.
Ms. Krishna Kumari was staying with her daughter Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan.
Upon hearing the demise of Ms. Krishna Kumari, the Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed his condolences. Besides KCR, several Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders expressed condolences and grief to Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan.
