Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, called for a Party meeting.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Legislative Party meeting has been scheduled on the 17th of November, Wednesday. The meeting would be held at Telangana Bhavan at 4:00 P.M.
The TRS ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and senior leaders would attend the meeting, chaired by Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao.
The major reason to call for a sudden meeting is to discuss the paddy procurement issue in Telangana. The TRS would discuss the future course of action to pressure the Central Government to buy promised paddy crop from the farmers of Telangana. In regard to this, the TRS is also planning to stage a protest in Delhi on the 29th of November.
During the meeting, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao and others would take a final call regarding the proposed protest.
It is to be noted, the paddy procurement issue is still a major issue between the political parties in Telangana. The ruling party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are fighting and playing the blame game in this regard.
The matter now would be intensified after being raised at the National Capital, New Delhi.
