Fifteen more countries recognised India’s Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination certificate.
On the 26th of November, Friday, the Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Speaker Mr. Arindam Bagchi posted a tweet and confirmed the same.
In a statement Mr. Arindam Bagchi said, “Mutual recognition of Covid-19 vaccination certificates continues! Fifteen more recognitions for India’s vaccination certificate.”
The MEA also released a statement giving details about the countries. The statement read, “Mutual recognition of Covid-19 vaccination certificates with India: Australia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritius, Mongolia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Palestine, Philippines, San Marino, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.”
With this, India now has recognition for Covid-19 certificate from 21 countries. The recognition of COVID-19 vaccination certificate would boost travel and tourism of India, enhancing the Indian economy, which has been disturbed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of now, India is administering 6 vaccines, of which two are made in India vaccines against the deadly COVID-19 infection.
