Vijayawada: In a significant development, Mumbai actress Kadambari Jatwani has accused three senior IPS officers of orchestrating a false case against her. During an investigation, Jatwani claimed that former intelligence head Sitharamanjaneyu, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kantirana Tatha, and DCP Vishal Gunni played pivotal roles in the case. She revealed that before the case was registered in Vijayawada, an intelligence team was dispatched to her Mumbai residence by Sitharamanjaneyu for reconnaissance. Following this, a pre-planned complaint was filed, leading to the case registration.
Jatwani, who arrived in Vijayawada from Hyderabad with her mother, Asha Jatwani, on Friday, visited the Novotel Hotel to consult with her lawyers. Later, she met Vijayawada Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu, expressing her anguish over the harassment she faced due to the false case. She provided documentary evidence, including audio and video recordings, to ACP Sravanthirayu, the inquiry officer. The investigation session lasted from 6:15 PM to 10:15 PM.
Jatwani also disclosed that false propaganda was being spread on social media, alleging that she had honeytrapped individuals. Her lawyer, Narra Srinivas, stated that the case was unjustly filed without following proper legal procedures, and pledged full legal support for the actress.
