Vishakapatnam/Guntur: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Botsa Satyanarayana, has called for an immediate inquiry into Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s allegations regarding adulterated ghee in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Laddu prasadam. Speaking in Vishakapatnam on Saturday, Botsa demanded that the inquiry be conducted by either the CBI or through a judicial process to uncover the truth behind these claims.
Botsa criticized Naidu for making such serious allegations without verifying the facts and warned that politicizing religious sentiments for political gain is unacceptable. He urged Naidu to issue a public apology if no evidence is found, while also pointing out that previous governments had rejected substandard ghee batches without creating unnecessary controversy. Botsa further accused the government of using this issue to distract from its failures during its first 100 days.
In a separate press conference in Guntur, former Minister Ambati Rambabu flayed Naidu for what he termed “malicious propaganda” against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Rambabu questioned the timing of the NDDP report’s release, accusing Naidu of using it to mislead devotees for political gain.
He urged TTD officials to present facts and warned Naidu of consequences for hurting religious sentiments.
