
Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh has criticized former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for his alleged religious insensitivity. Speaking to reporters after inspecting a school in Srikakulam, Lokesh said, “Jagan saw what happened when he challenged God in the last elections. We should respect all religions, regardless of our own. When we visit churches or mosques, we follow their customs. Jagan should follow the tradition of making a declaration before visiting Tirumala.”
Lokesh also raised questions about the irregularities in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), stating that a committee has been formed to investigate the matter. He expressed confidence that the committee’s findings would expose the truth.
Regarding the YSRCP’s allegations of privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Lokesh clarified that both the central and state governments have denied such plans. He accused the YSRCP of spreading false information to mislead the people.
Lokesh further stated that the TDP government is committed to fulfilling its election promises and is working diligently to strengthen the education system. He criticized the previous YSRCP government for neglecting the education sector, leading to a decline in student enrollment in government schools.
