After the Union Health Ministry, reported two positive cases of Novel Coronavirus in Delhi and Telangana, Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government asked the Health Department to stay alert.
The two patients with a travel history from Dubai and Italy, are being treated in Telangana and Delhi respectively. The doctors are closely monitoring their individual health condition, which is said to be stable as of now.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, alerted the West Godavari district administration regarding the Coronavirus.
According to sources, 23 people who have a travel history from abroad to West Godavari are kept under observation. Out of 23 people, 19 were detected negative, whereas 4 were kept under observation and are suspected of being infected with the Novel Coronavirus.
Novel Coronavirus which was first detected in China, is a family of deadly viruses and can cause symptoms of cold, cough and fever.
Meanwhile, the Eluru District Central Hospital has set up a special isolation ward in the State in advance to fight the Coronavirus.
Scientists and medical teams in China are working on developing a vaccine or cure for the virus. So far, the virus has killed as many as 3,000 people and left 88,000 infected, globally.
