Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Hindupur, conducted a surprise inspection of a Government Hospital in the constituency of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.
On the 18th of October, MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna visited the Hindupur Government Hospital and inspected the medical facilities and treatment given to patients. He interacted with the admitted patients and their relatives, regarding the medical facilities. After the inspection Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna was disappointed and said the situation of the hospital was extremely bad with complaints of negligence in treatment and medical facilities. Highlighting one such incident, a man named Mr. Shravan said he lost his two day old baby due to the negligence in the treatment at the hospital.
He even said, the medical equipment brought by the State Government, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) at these state run hospitals are not being used. While leaving the hospital, the Hindupur MLA warned the hospital staff and authority to improve their facilities or he would complain to the district collector about the same.
Mr. Nandamuri Balakrishna, a leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) visited Hindupur to attend a meeting regarding the Rayalaseema water projects, but made a surprise visit to the hospital.
