Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham, the Kapu movement leader in Andhra Pradesh, wrote an open letter to Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party.

Written on the 20th of June, in the letter, Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham mentions the possible alliance talk between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Janasena Party.  The Kapu Movement leader questioned the approach of Mr. Pawan Kalyan and his strategies in alliance with the BJP and the TDP, against the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham demands a justification for adopting a confrontation and regarding the alliance against Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.  He pointed out that Pawan Kalyan’s speeches often include statements about being slapped, stripped, shaved, or hit with shoes, and he questions how many people have actually subjected him to such treatment.  Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham advised Mr. Pawan Kalyan to stop wasting time to tarnish the ruling YSRCP image, but focus on more productive endeavors.

Furthermore, in the open letter, Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham expressed confusion regarding the claims of Mr. Pawan Kalyan that the BJP, the TDP, and the JanaSena would contest the elections together in alliance and win the assembly elections.  Questioning the claims and ambition of Mr. Pawan Kalyan to become the State Chief Minister, Mr. Mudragada Padmanabham said, “How can he expect to be made the chief minister if they are indeed joining forces.”  He found it unreasonable to harbor ambitions of becoming the CM when running as part of a coalition unless Pawan Kalyan is asking for the position.”

The letter came at a time when the BJP, the TDP and the JanaSena are expected to hold talks regarding the possible alliance against the YSRCP Government.  However, there has been no official announcement regarding the alliance of the three major opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh.

Moreover, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 2024.
