Vijayawada: Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday released the final voter list for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Mukesh Kumar Meena, Chief electoral officer of the state said that 4.08 crore voters were finalized after verification in the state. 

The final list of voters includes 2 crore male voters and 2.07 female voters and 3482 third gender voters. The ECI said that 22.38 lakh new votes were enrolled with wide publicity activity done by ECI at district level. 

Meena said that 16.52 lakh votes were deleted from the final list after detailed verification. He said that proof of death is taken from the families of voters to delete the names of deceased voters. 

He added that around 5.86 lakh votes increased when compared to the draft rolls released in October 2024. The number of voters had significantly increased in 25 districts in the state, Meena added. He said that enrollment of new voters will continue anyway.
