Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday, July 20, conducted a review on the formation of various sub-caste corporations under BC. On the occasion, the CM said that the posts of chairmen and directors of BC corporations would be filled by the end of July. A total of 52 corporations are being set up, including new ones. Not only the 69 castes as in the past, but now all the BC castes are given priority in the corporations.
Corporations were ordered to monitor whether the castes in BC were receiving government benefits or not. The CM also suggested that government schemes should look the same for all. Since the YCP government came to power, it has so far disbursed Rs 22,685.74 crore to 2,12,40,810 BCs through cash transfers under various schemes, said CM YS Jagan.
