Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) has been appointed as the lifetime President of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
On the 9th of July, Saturday, on the second day of the YSRCP Plenary meeting, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Party made an official announcement in this regard.
Mr, V. Vijayasai Reddy, the General Secretary of the YSRCP, who was also the Returning Officer (RO) for the Party President Election, made the announcement. It is to be noted, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was elected unanimously. A total of 22 sets of nominations were filed on behalf of Jagan Mohan Reddy by YSRCP leaders on Friday, and on Saturday, he was elected as the President.
No other leader filed a nomination for the post, which led to the unanimous winning of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Now, the YSRCP would move the Election Commission of India (ECI) to convey that it has modified its constitution for Jagan Reddy’s election as the YSRCP president for his lifetime.
With this, the two day YSRCP Plenary meeting also concluded on the 9th of July.
