Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 4th of October, lashed out at Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
During the launch event of the Vahana Mitra scheme in Eluru, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “Chandrababu Naidu made uncharitable remarks laden with blatant lies. Such fake talk comes up at a time when my government was launching a historic event attracting the nation’s attention.” He further added, “We have unveiled our sincerity on October 1 through the Excise Policy wherein we have cut down 20 % of the existing liquor shops, reduced the liquor sale timings and are working towards total prohibition.”
The comments of Jagan Mohan Reddy came after Chandrababu Naidu criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government. Naidu said the State Government, which claims to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, was selling liquor on Gandhi Jayanti, the 2nd of October.
Jagan Mohan Reddy blamed Naidu and the TDP for spreading fake news against the YSRCP Government and misleading people, especially whenever the Government launches new schemes.
On the 4th of October, Jagan Mohan Reddy was on a visit to Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh where he launched the Vahana Mitra scheme and addressed public rallies.
