In an amusing turn of events, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan threatened to quit Twitter after he lost a huge chunk of followers. The avid blogger and social media user tweeted, “T 2599 – TWITTER ..!!!?? you reduced my number of followers .. !!??HAHAHAHAHAHAHA .. !! thats a joke .. time to get off from you .. thank you for the ride .. .. there are many ‘other’ fish in the sea – and a lot more exciting !! (sic.)”
Along with the Tweet the megastar added a picture from his super hit film Hum. The image is of Bachchan holding the villain from the film in a chokehold. Amitabh Bachchan was dethroned by none other than Shah Rukh Khan as the most followed Indian actor on Twitter.
The Badshah’s followers remained the same at 32,944,338 but the angry man’s followers reduced to 32,902,353. This made Bachchan the second most followed actor on Twitter.
Amitabh Bachchan uses Twitter to keep his fans updated about his professional and personal life. The avid twitterati shares information about his upcoming films and other endeavours. The actor also post pictures of his family with heartfelt notes regularly. Prime Minister Modi remains on the top with the most followers in India followed by SRK and Amitabh Bachchan.
