Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar’s younger brother Ehsan Khan passed away at the age of 90.
According to sources, Ehsan Khan passed away on the night of 2nd of September at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai.
Ehsan was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. According to the doctors at Lilavati Hospital, Mr. Khan also had heart disease, hypertension and Alzheimer’s.
The news of Ehsan’s death came days after Dilip Kumar’s youngest brother Aslam Khan’s demise.
Dr. Jalil Parker of Lilavati hospital who was treating Ehsan and Aslam said, “They (Aslam and Ehsan) have been kept in ICU but we haven’t intubated them as yet. Considering their age and pre condition health issues like diabetes and hypertension, we have to be extra careful while treating them.”
On August 21, Aslam Khan, 88 years old who was also COVID-19 positive passed away at Lilavati Hospital.
After the demise of Aslam Khan, Dr. Jalil Parker said, “Mr Aslam passed away due to COVID-19. He had pneumonia with diabetes, hypertension and heart disease. He had multiple organ failure. He died in the early hours of Friday.”
Both Ehsan Khan and Aslam Khan tested Coronavirus positive on the 15th of August.
The news of Ehsan Khan’s death was confirmed by Faisal Farooqui, a close friend of Dilip Kumar through a Twitter handle.
Faisal Farooqui said, “Dilip Saab’s youngest brother Ehsan Khan passed away few hours ago. Earlier, youngest brother Aslam had passed away. We are from God and to Him we return. Please pray for them. Posted by Faisal Farooqui on behalf of Dilip Kumar (sic.)”
Twitter is flooded with condolences messages for Dilip Kumar’s loss.
