Mumbai: Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini on Wednesday tweeted that her heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life.
Recently, Hema was injured in an accident when her car collided with another car. The accident claimed the life of a 4-year-old child, Sonam, and also injured four others. The injured were immediately shifted to the hospital after the accident. She went underwent a surgery for her wounds in the Fortis hospital.
Hema Malini’s driver was arrested and then released on bail. The actress along with her daughter Esha Deol and son-in-law Bharat Takhtani reached Mumbai on Saturday by a chartered plane.
The father of the victim said his little girl could have been saved if she was taken to hospital with actor Hema Malini. He added that his daughter died in the lap of her mother in car and the mother is also struggling in polytrauma ward in SMS and she didn’t even know that Sonam died in the mishap.
