Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh witnessed an inhuman case from Mahaweer Prasad’s family. The 55 year old jeweller by profession was facing severe financial issues.
His solution to getting out of his woes was shocking and disgusting to most. A man named Krishna Sharma advised Mahaweer Prasad and his 50 year old wife Puspa, their problems would be solved if they sacrifice their 15 year old daughter.
Krishna Sharma was a part time driver for the couple and he said to appease the deity, the couple would have to do kill their own daughter to solve their problems. He said once the ritual was complete they would find 5 kgs of gold buried.
The couple were not thinking practically and agreed to the psychopath’s proposal.
The parents drugged their daughter, Kavitha and took her to a temple on Tuesday where they conducted prayers the whole day. After which, Krishna took the girl’s body and strangled her to death. He then stripped her and raped her in front of the parents acting as silent spectators.
Krishna then slit the young girl’s throat and gathered her blood to offer it to the deity.
The father, Mahaweer went to the police after they didn’t find any gold even after sacrificing his daughter.
The police took immediate action and arrested Krishna Sharma from Thatiya village of Kannauj district.
Keshav Goswami, Additional Superintendent of Police reported that the girl’s body was found in a nearby field and has been sent for a postmortem.
