We can never force people to do what they hate, yet we can help them see the value in our work and if they don’t see it, we need to think very well whether we should invest our time and energy working with such kind of people.

1. Prepare a one-page document about your next 12 months plan to share with your boss, better yet make it visual by using PowerPoint or any other presentation tool.This will show how much you care about the company and that you are willing to take initiative when it’s needed. Being proactive will appeal to your boss greatly making him/her happy.
2.Let your boss know that you need their approval on the suggested road map and to check if implementing the project plan over the span of a year can earn you a certain compensation.
3. If your boss says you’re paid fairly right now and even if you implement the project plan there won’t be more for you; then at least you know where they stand on your value to the company and what to expect from them.
