Beijing: As many as 10 people were killed and 40 others went missing on Wednesday after two separate accidents at coal mines. On Tuesday night, ten people were killed and five others were injured in Guizhou Province due to explosion of gas at the coal mine.
The outburst occurred at the coal mine in Louxia township of Pu’an County. The rescue operations are still in progress. The cause for the accident is yet to be investigated. Further details are still awaited.
Atleast 40 others went missing in another incident when a landslide swept through the living quarters of a coal mine in Shaanxi Province of northwest China. The incident occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday. Officials are struggling hard to trace the missing people.
