Vijayawada: Collector S. Dilli Rao emphasized the significance of voting beyond party lines during a Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (Sweep) event at the BR Ambedkar statue in Vijayawada. The event, which kicked off with a 2K run, saw the participation of CP Kanti Rana Tata, Joint Collector Dr. P. Sampath Kumar, and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar.

Rao stressed the pivotal role of voting in shaping the nation’s future and preserving democracy. He highlighted Sweep programs in schools and innovative voter awareness initiatives. Efforts to disseminate voting information were acknowledged, with Rao underscoring the need for increased public engagement to boost voter turnout, particularly in urban areas.

Form-6 for new voter registration will be processed until April 15. Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata commended the event, emphasizing the importance of voting and collective efforts to ensure smooth elections, with various departments collaborating for success.
