Telangana Government Releases Swine Flu Report for August

On Tuesday, the Telangana Government released a report that stated 165 people were tested positive for swine flu just in the month of August.

The report states that there were 945 samples that were tested among which 165 were tested positive for H1N1 virus.

The report also stressed that no deaths were recorded.

It also stated on Monday, 17 cases tested positive for the swine flu virus.

In just the first twenty days of August, there were 68 cases of swine flu.

The State reported it did not have enough stock of medicines at government hospitals.

The H1N1 virus is an air borne disease and can be spread easily. Pregnant women, children and older adults that are infected are likely to have complications.

Institute of Preventive Medicine is the place to go to get tested and confirm for swine flu in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.

The hub for treatment of swine flu is being done at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad.
