Assembly Election Results 2017 Live Updates

UP Polls result 2017:

The exit polls on Thursday predicted dominance of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. It predicted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge as the single largest party, winning 164 – 210 out of the 403 seats. A win in UP, which is home for 220 million people will mean a general election win in 2019 for the BJP. This was made possible after PM Narendra Modi became the face of election campaign in the state.

Punjab Polls result 2017:

The Punjab polls are predicted to be a close fight between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. Congress, this election seeks to return to power after 10 years of absence in the State, whereas AAP is making a debut this election. Though a tough fight, it is expected that the Congress party will win majority in Punjab State.

Uttarakhand Polls result 2017:

Uttarakhand is also expected to witness a win for the BJP party as the single largest party in 2017 elections. This prediction also ends the hopes of the Congress Party to remain in power with Harish Rawat leading the state.

Goa Polls result 2017:

Goa this year faces a tough competition in between parties as BJP received severe backlash because of the actions it took against the alcohol and drug mafia. But as per exit polls, 15-20 seats are expected to be won by the BJP, followed closely by Congress. Also AAP is expected to win 2-4 seats in this debut election.

Manipur Polls result 2017:

Manipur is expected to have a split result. While some predict BJP’s win in the State, it is also expected the present CM Ibobi Singh of Congress, will be returning for the fourth term. Though Irom Sharmila, the Iron Lady is debuting this elections, she is not predicted to gain much votes and a weak performance.
