The talks for the next chief minister of Karnataka continues, with no solid conclusion. After the rounds of meetings of the Indian National Congress in Delhi, Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) after discussion with the former President Ms. Sonia Gandhi, would take a final call and announce the CM.
The southern state of Karnataka is expected to get its Chief Minister by evening, as Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge is expected to make an official announcement on the 17th of May, in Bengaluru. The two contenders, which is being a tough confusion for the INC are Mr. D.K. Shivakumar and Mr. Siddaramaiah.
Furthermore, ahead of the big announcement, Mr. D.K. Shivakumar and Mr. Siddaramaiah are set to meet Mr. Rahul Gandhi, a senior leader of the INC. During the meeting, the leaders are expected to discuss the current circumstances and recent victory of the INC in Karnataka.
Moreover, after dethroning the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government, the Indian National Congress is scheduled to form the next government on the 18th of May, during which the CM and Cabinet ministers would take the oath. However, one day to the oath taking ceremony, the INC is yet to announce the CM of Karnataka.
