After launching a Vande Bharat Express train between Secunderabad and Tirupati, the Central Government is set to flag off another express train.
According to sources, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Government of India is planning to run a Vande Bharat Express train between Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Although the details about the possible launch is unclear, it is said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed about it to BJP leaders during his visit to south Indian states.
Furthermore, if operational, this will be the third Vande Bharat Express in Telangana. The other two trains are between Secunderabad-Tirupati and Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam. The talk of this third train came after Mr. Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Karnataka and Telangana, two poll bound states, going for assembly polls in 2023.
However, the official announcement of this Hyderabad to Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is awaited, many BJP leaders started using this in their poll campaign, making it a possible launch soon.
If operational, the semi high speed express will reduce travel time between Hyderabad and Bengaluru by three hours, then the usual 12 hours, covering 660 km. It would also be the first express train connecting the two tech hub cities of India.
