Highlights Of KCR’s Press Meet Over Relaxation During Lockdown 4.0

On the 18th of May, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, conducted a Cabinet meeting to dicuss the guidelines for the 4th lockdown.

After the Cabinet meeting, KCR organised a press meet and briefed the media about the Cabinet meeting.

Below are the highlights of the press meet, organised by K. Chandrashekar Rao:

  • Lockdown extended till May 31st.
  •  All cities except containment areas in Hyderabad have been put in green zones (complete Telangana.)
  •  A total of 1452 families are only in red zones, Hyderabad, which is also containment areas.  Only these families will be in total closure and strict lockdown guidelines.
  •  All shops will be opened during the lockdown 4.0, except in Hyderabad.
  • The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commisioner would decide soon upon the shops to open in Hyderabad in an alternate way.
  • Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) buses in all areas except Hyderabad to start from tomorrow.
  • No interstate transport will be allowed, only buses can move in Telanagan.
  • Cabs and autos can move in Hyderabad but with limited passengers.
  •  Salons, barber shops can be opened in Telangana except in containment zones.
  •  100% e-commerce activity can resume from tomorrow, the 19th of May.’
  •  Government and private offices can function with 100% staff.
  • Manufacturing units and factories can function completely.
  • Curfew will be as usual from 7:00 P.M., to 7:00 A.M.
  • All religious places and events including social gatherings would be remain closed.
  •  Function halls, shopping malls, pools, metro, cinemas and gyms would remain closed.
  • All schools, colleges and coaching institutes would remain shut till the 31st of May.
  • Mask is must and fine of Rs. 1000 would be imposed if mask is not worn, social distancing is also mandatory.
  • All shops to follow sanitization measures and should provide sanitation to customers.
  • Senior citizens and kids will not be allowed to move in any zones unless there is some emergency.

Mr. Rao said, if the citizens would violate any of the mentioned guidelines, leading the increase cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, then the State need to go under complete lockdown again.

Till the 18th of May, Telangana reported a total of 1,551 cases of the Novel Cornavirus with 34 fatalities.
