On the 8th of October, Andhra Pradesh reported 5,292 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
Of the total new cases, highest number of cases were from Chittoor (784, ) East Godavari (652,) West Godavari (612) and Prakasam (591.)
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Health Department conducted a total of 66,944 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 63,49,953.
In addition, total number of recoveries in the past 24 hours stood at 6,102.
Andhra Pradesh has a total of 7,39,719 positive cases, of which 48,661 are active cases, 6,84,930 are recovered/discharged cases and 6,128 deceased.
