Visakhapatnam: YSRCP Women’s Wing President and MLC Varudu Kalyani launched a scathing attack on Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, accusing her of incompetence and neglect of duty. Speaking to the media on Monday, Kalyani criticized Anitha for focusing on baseless attacks against the YSRCP and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, instead of addressing pressing law and order issues in the state.
Kalyani highlighted the deterioration of law and order under Anitha’s tenure, citing frequent incidents of murder, attempted murder, and violence. She expressed disappointment over the Home Minister’s failure to visit the family of a girl who was assaulted in Mutchumarri, calling it a dereliction of duty.
The MLC also condemned Anitha’s inadequate response to the recent Achyutapuram SEZ blast, accusing her of spreading falsehoods and failing to support the victims or hold the responsible parties accountable. Kalyani contrasted this with the prompt response to a fire accident at the Madanapalle Sub-Collector’s Office, questioning why similar urgency wasn’t shown for the SEZ incident.
Kalyani further criticized Anitha’s language and behavior, describing her remarks about former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as disrespectful and undignified. She urged the Home Minister to act responsibly and refrain from making inappropriate comments.
