Gajwel: Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) strongly criticized the state government, accusing it of failing on multiple fronts. Addressing BRS leaders and workers from Zaheerabad constituency at his farmhouse, KCR warned that the state’s financial condition is deteriorating, with a ₹13,000 crore revenue shortfall and a worsening crisis expected in the coming months. He stated that if the current trend continues, government employees might not receive their salaries, land prices will drop, and the real estate sector will suffer a major setback.

KCR alleged that Telangana has been swallowed by a “giant snake” and blamed the Congress government for misleading the people with false promises. He claimed that parents are now reluctant to send their children to Gurukul schools due to the poor quality of food, including worm-infested rice. He also criticized the administration for frequent power cuts and inadequate drinking water supply, questioning how the situation would worsen in the peak summer months of April and May.

The former CM emphasized the need to fight for the Sangameshwara and Basaveshwara lift irrigation schemes, urging party workers to mobilize public support. He announced plans to hold a massive public meeting at the end of February to expose the government’s failures. Confident of BRS’s return to power, KCR asserted that public sentiment is turning against the Congress, predicting a major political shift in Telangana soon.
