Hyderabad Commuters Get a Big Travel Relief

Daily travel costs have been a concern for many people in Hyderabad who depend on both Metro trains and RTC buses. The combined travel pass was introduced to make public transport more convenient for regular commuters.

Now, the Telangana government has announced a major price cut for these passes. Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said the revised fares will come into effect from November 8, as a Diwali gift to commuters.

The monthly Metro-RTC pass price has been reduced from ₹8,500 to ₹4,000. It includes ₹3,000 worth of Metro travel and ₹1,000 for RTC bus services.

The daily pass price has also come down from ₹400 to ₹275. It covers four single journeys, with ₹200 allocated for Metro travel and ₹75 for RTC buses.

Under the monthly plan, passengers can make up to 50 single Metro trips, while RTC bus travel has no journey limit.

The new rates will help monthly pass holders save ₹4,500 and daily pass users save ₹125.
