Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) will support the new Government of AP.
On the 28th of May, Mr. Naidu addressed TDP workers and said the Party will extend cooperation toward the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Mr. Naidu said, “A new government is coming in. We have to give it some time. They promised certain things; let them fulfil those promises.”
Naidu also asked the Party members not to feel bad about the TDP’s defeat in the elections and to work hard to develop and analyse the mistakes of the Party so as to better serve the people of AP.
The TDP lost the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections against the YSRCP. The TDP secured 23 Assembly seats and 3 Lok Sabha seats.
The AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections were held on the 11th of April and the results for the elections were announced on the 23rd of May.
