Maharashtra Beats China, Records 88,529 COVID-19 Cases

After India beat China with the total number of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases, Maharashtra, one of the Indian states alone crossed the number of COVID-19 cases in China.

On the 8th of June, Maharashtra recorded a total of 85,975 cases of Novel Coronavirus, which is more than officially registered COVID-19 cases in China.

Started in December 2019 from China, the Nation recorded a approximately 84,000 cases.4

Maharashtra is one of the worst hit COVID-19 states in India which  records 50 % of the total cases of the Novel Coronavirus in India.

After Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi are the states with highest number of cases and are recording big numbers in terms of everyday increase in the cases.

While the number of positive cases jumped to 88,529, death cases registered in Maharashtra are near to 3,169 on the 9th of June.

Mumbai, Thane and Pune are some of the cities of Maharashtra with the highest number of cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

However, on the 8th of June, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Maharashtra Government announced Unlock 1.0 rules with limited restrictions.

Since Maharashtra is the worst affected State, Unlock 1.0., would be different in the State including curfew timings, restrictions and lockdown rules in containment zones.

While all other States opened shopping malls, restaurants, salons, religious places, Maharashtra Government continued with the closure of these places to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

Schools, colleges, educational institutions, gyms, bars, swimming pools, social gatherings, social and religious places, metro services, salons, spas, inter district buses and suburban rails are restricted.

Only private and government offices, stand alone shops, self employed like plumbers, electricians, autos, rickshaws, taxis, outdoor jogging and film shooting are allowed.

Meanwhile, citizens of Maharashtra are advised not to go out without any urgent need, especially children and senior citizens.
