In Telangana’s Asifabad region, a Telangana Police constable named Sura Rajini Kumar, who received severe injuries in a gun misfire incident, succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
On the morning of the 8th of November, Tuesday, Sura Rajini Kumar, on sentry duty, at Koutala police station allegedly misfired his loaded rifle, causing severe injuries. The bullet pierced Sura Rajini Kumar’s jaw, following which he was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Khagaznagar. When his condition started deteriorating, he was shifted to a state run hospital in Karimnagar. While undergoing treatment, Sura Rajini Kumar, a constable of the Telangana Police since 2021, succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the Asifabad Police registered a case and launched an investigation, as to whether Sura Rajini Kumar shot himself intentionally or it occurred accidentally.
The investigation into the matter is underway.
