Who issues job notifications ? Who identifies vacancies in various departments ? Is job notification possible when the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in force? Answer to the above questions is absolutely no. One should face questions and answers if they want to get a job. But the Congress party is leaving hundreds of questions with their election promises in Telangana. Job calendar issued by Congress is confusing the youth and creating chaos.

Congress is creating buzz by releasing the job calendar and declaring tentative dates of various job notifications. Does Congress cancel the existing job notifications issued by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPC), which is a constitutional body? Can a political party declare job notifications for the sake of gaining votes? Telangana youth is raising similar questions ahead of assembly elections.

Political parties usually declare a manifesto before assembly and general elections. They include election promises in the manifesto, which usually consist of details related to various welfare schemes, job notifications and others. But the Congress party in Telangana released a job calendar, which is facing criticism. Intellectuals opined that Congress party is trying to deceive the youth in the name of job calendar. Huge ad campaigns run by Congress on the job calendar are raising doubts over the job notification promised. Congress party promised to fill 2 lakh jobs within one year of assuming power. How can the Congress party declare a job calendar without verifying the number of vacancies available at various government departments? Answer for this question is very simple. Congress party is trying to gain politically by attracting unemployed youth in the name of job notifications

Job calendar issued by the Congress party stated that vacancies will be filled in a phased manner. Ground reality is quite different and there is no scope for two lakh vacancies in various departments. But Congress issued a job calendar as its guarantee. Parliament elections are scheduled in April, May 2024 and no job notifications and recruitments are possible during this period. But Congress specified many job recruitments between February – May 2024, when no notification is possible due to general election code. Congress party which came into power at Karnataka failed to issue job notifications, till date, but assuring number of job notifications at Telangana as soon as they come into power.

As per the statistics of TSPSC there are around 503 group-1 vacancies in the state and the commission has already issued notification to fill these posts. The Congress party in its job calendar announced another group-1 notification, without having any idea about vacancies. In this case Congress has to cancel the existing Group-1 notification, which will end in a legal battle between the aspirants and the government.

Similarly 783 Group-2 posts and 1365 Group-3 posts were vacant in the state and TSPSC had already issued notifications to fill these jobs. There is no chance of generation of additional vacancies as of now. But Congress promises to take up Group-2 and Group-3 examinations twice a month, which is again a false promise. Government had already issued notifications to fill junior lecturers, degree college lecturers, polytechnic lecturers, assistant professors, librarian posts and examinations for some jobs were already conducted. It seems that senior Congress leaders were aware of the possible hurdles in implementation of the job calendar and hence stayed away from it. TPCC chief Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka should take responsibility of the job calendar, youth demanded.
