Sushma Swaraj Grants Medical Visas To Three Pakistani Nationals

The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj announced three Pakistani nationals would be given medical visas. Among the three Pakistani’s includes a nine year old girl who requires medical treatment.

Sushma Swaraj who is highly active on Twitter responded to a request from Danish Memon. He Tweeted the minister to grant a medical visa for his nine year old daughter who requires treatment for Thalassemia. Swaraj immediately responded and asked the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to issue the required travel documents.

Swaraj tweeted, “Maria Danish, I am asking Indian High Commission in Pakistan to issue your visa immediately.”

Mariam Asim and Fariha Usman were also granted medical visas after sending a request to Swaraj.

The Pakistani Government has been accusing India of politicising humanitarian issues. They also stated India was selectively issuing visas to Pakistanis not as a gesture of compassion but of cold blooded politicking.
