XIAOMI ECOMMERCE

Leading smartphone maker Xiaomi, after successfully establishing itself in the Indian market is now planning to enter the ecommerce industry that will solely be dedicated to its products.

Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain said that the company is planning to go full-fledged on this website and is also planning to invest on technology startups as well to further enhance their e-commerce system. So far, Xiaomi has been managing their sales through Flipkart and has lately partnered with Snapdeal and Amazon as well.

While talking to the reporters in Hyderabad, Manu Kumar Jain told “The investment will go into setting up our own e -commerce business (including setting up) warehouse and logistics. We also enable sales though Mi.com, which is our own e-commerce platform. We have not done any marketing for that (to promote the site),”

“We are actively talking to few other tech companies. They are startups and none of them are like the new ones who are looking for angel’s money. They are established. They have raised one or two rounds of funding and generating revenues,” Jain explained.
