The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) functionaries of the Theni District Committee, on the 2nd of March, Wednesday, passed a resolution to bring back two leaders of the party.
During a meeting, held on Wednesday, at the farmhouse of AIADMK Chief Coordinator Mr. O. Panneerselvam, the AIADMK leaders unanimously passed a resolution to bring former interim AIADMK General Secretary Ms. V.K. Sasikala and her nephew Mr. T.T.V. Dhinakaran and his party Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) back. The meeting was chaired by the Theni district Secretary Mr. Syed Khan.
Putting pressure on bringing these two leaders back, Mr. Syed Khan said, “The AIADMK is a political party which always fights for the people and we want to take the legacy of late leaders Mr. M.G.R. and Ms. J. Jayalalithaa returned to the party and moved forward. As part of this process, we want everyone who has gone out of the party to return. The electoral debacle has several other factors but the reunion of these leaders will give the party the much-needed support base and fillip.”
Notably, to strengthen the AIADMK, the return of Ms. Sasikala is the priority of the Party, especially after the pressure exerted by the Thevar community.
Meanwhile, with the passed resolution, Ms. Sasikala and Mr. T.T.V. Dhinakaran would likely be back in the AIADMK in a couple of days.
