On Wednesday, the Delhi Government tested the anti smog gun in Anand Vihar area. The anti smog gun is a machine that sprays water into the air to bring the pollution level down. The air quality in the capital has been deteriorating for the past two days.
Delhi’s pollution levels entered the very poor zone after a week on Wednesday morning. In the East of Delhi, Anand Vihar’s pollution level reached the severe zone with an Air Quality Index of 413.
The Air Quality Index is a measurement of the pollutants in the air. On Wednesday, Delhi measured a 332 AQI at 8:00 A.M. The AQI is measured on a scale of 0 to 500 where 301 comes under the very poor level.
The experts explained the reason for the increase in pollution is rising humidity and low wind speed. India’s official pollution forecasting system SAFAR said the pollution levels are likely to increase in the next three days.
