Jaipur: Over hundreds of plates filled with sweets and delicious laddoos were decorated in one of the temples of Lord Ganesh in the city of Jaipur as this week is celebrated as Ganesha Pooja Saptah in the entire country.
The Moti Dungri temple at Jaipur renders a unique culture of offering very huge quantity of Laddoo as Prasad of Ganesha. Thousands of devotees gather at the temple holding plates full of sweets which is the favorite dish of the deity.
According to the priest of the temple 1.25 Lakh Laddoos are offered to Ganesha following the decades old tradition.
The heaviest size of the Laddoo participated in this exhibition was 251 Kg and there is full range of size according to weight like 151 Kg, 51 kg and 100 gm. This almost week long festival will conclude on Ganesh Chaturthi.
