Agra: One of the minarets of Taj Mahal fell off on Monday afternoon during the repair work. But the officials claim that pinnacle was taken out because it was in a weak condition.
According to the eye witness, the pinnacle of the minaret was seen lying on the cleaning platform and raised a lot of kiosk that it may have fallen off the structure.
Superintendent, Bhuvan Vikram Singh said “the pinnacle did not fall down and is lying at the platform laid around for chemical cleaning. It would be repaired and pinnacle placed by tomorrow.”
The white marble Taj Mahal was being chemically cleaned for the past few months.
