India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj did something unusual that has raised many eyebrows expressing doubt over this move. Sushma Swaraj whose Twitter handle read “Foreign Minister, Government of India” was disappeared from her profile and there was absolutely nothing in her Twitter bio for a while.
It has almost been a week since Sushma Swaraj’s bio is blank. Many industry experts believe that this move is the result of the ongoing tussle between Congress party and BJP demanding Sushma Swaraj’s resignation, after she acknowledged of helping IPL scam taint Lalit Modi to obtain his british travel documents.
Though she cited to have helped him on humanitarian grounds, there’s a huge hue and cry by the opposition parties demanding probe and resignation and has been repeatedly attacked in the parliament and outside. However, the ruling BJP has dismissed all resignation demands saying she had done nothing wrong.
However, Sushma Swaraj has again updated her profile and it is now reflecting as Foreign Minister, Government Of India.
