In India the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are rising rapidly. From below 500, the nation is now registering over 2,000 single day spikes in the Wuhav Virus cases.
In Telangana also, the State Health Department expressed concerns as certain districts in the Telugu State are witnessing a massive rise in the single day Coronavirus cases. Districts like Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Karimnagar are on top with rise in the cases. Although the Telugu State ranks 12th in terms of COVID-19 cases, in India, the increasing active cases is raising alarming concerns.
Over the past two weeks, the three aforementioned districts’ COVID-19 cases increased the Wuhan Virus positivity rate increasing from 0.5% to 2%. In the past 24 hours, the Telugu State registered 21 new COVID-19 cases, of which 7 alone were from Hyderabad.
The Telangana Health Department issued guidelines, urging people to be extra cautious and increase the tests conducted in the region. Furthermore, the COVID-19 test and vaccination has also been intensified, asking the concerned authority to ensure safety of people and prevention of the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in the Telugu State.
As of now, Telangana has 152 active COVID-19 cases with 99% recovery rate.
