Mr. Jagga Reddy, the Working President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) issued a statement against Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

On the 26th of December, Monday, Mr. Jagga Reddy, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Sangareddy, said, “TDP (the Telugu Desam Party) is alive in the form of KCR.”

Taking a concern to the fact that the N. Chandrababu Naidu led TDP is still active in Telangana because of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, who is trying to enter the Andhra Pradesh politics with his new national Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Party.  Mr. Jagga Reddy said, “Chandrababu is coming back to Telangana politics as KCR is going to AP through BRS.”  According to the opinion of Mr. Jagga Reddy, it is Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao who has given a chance to Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu to enter Telangana politics and that the TDP would make good use of this given opportunity.

Mr. Jagga Reddt said, “There is a possibility that TDP will survive again in the form of KCR and Chandrababu will succeed.”  He furthermore criticised the Telangana CM for forgetting the people and priorities of Telangana, with this national party, to enter the national politics.

Mr. Jagga Reddy addressed the media and said, ‘KCR killed Telangana sentiment because of BRS name.  Telangana was humiliated by removing tea from TRS.  KCR’s strength was lost with the removal of T.  KCR gave a chance to Chandrababu who was silent to come to Telangana. And Chandrababu will play with KCR.  There is a possibility that there will be a clarity before the elections on alliances and alliances.  If BRS goes to Maharashtra and Karnataka, TDP will also go there.  BRS offices can be placed anywhere.  Serious politics will run in Telangana from now on (sic.)”

It is to be noted, in October, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao launched the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and entered the national politics.  KCR changed its party from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to the BRS, which drew mixed opinions from the political parties in Telangana.

The drastic move of the TRS, now known as the BRS came at a time when the Telugu State of Telangana is scheduled to contest the State Assembly elections in 2023.
