The oxygen scarcity is hitting people of India badly that they are now relying on Google to make oxygen gas at home.

Recently, Vishal Gondal, the Founder of the fitness band Goqii and NCore Games FAU-G, took to Twitter and said, “Try searching how to make in @Google

See the recommendations

Pretty much sums up the current situation.  Saab key liye Oxygen bhej do bhagwan 🙏”

The tweet was shared with a screenshot of his search suggestion on Google. The search query started with ‘how to’ and one of the first suggestions on the list was ‘how to make oxygen’ followed by the next suggestion ‘how to make oxygen cylinder.’

According to Google trends and search terms, most searches for “How to make oxygen/oxygen cylinders at home” are between the 15th to the 22nd of April.  The majority of searches are from the regions of Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.   Gujarat topped the list in terms of Search Interest, coming at 87 followed by Maharashtra at 61 and Uttar Pradesh at 55.

The tweet of Mr. Vishal Gondal highlighting the search suggestion, indicates the worst  situation of India due to COVID-19 rise and lack of oxygen.  The tweet also shows how people are relying on Google, when hospitals fail to save their family members due to the lack of oxygen in the current situation.

States and union territories like Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra even reported more deaths due to low oxygen supply than COVID-19 deaths.  Recently, the Delhi Government urged the Central Government to supply oxygen as the UT has only 6-12 hours of oxygen left for the patients suffering from the COVID-19 infection.

Maharashtra and Haryana also reported the same situation asking people to be cautious and to take steps to avoid being infected byCOVID-19.
