Mr. Suresh Balu Dhanorkar, the Indian National Congress Lok Sabha Member from Maharashtra, died, on the morning of the 30th of May, Tuesday,
He was admitted at a Medanta Hospital in Delhi and was undergoing treatment for kidney related issues, and passed away while undergoing treatment. His demise was confirmed by an Indian National Congress leader Mr. Balasaheb Thorat. In a tweet, he said, “He (Balu Dhanorkar) was admitted to a Nagpur based hospital last week for the treatment of kidney stones. He was later shifted to New Delhi but he could not survive.”
Mr. Suresh Balu Dhanorkar, 47 years old, is survived by his wife Pratibha, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the INC and two sons.
Mr Dhanorkar’s body will be flown to his hometown, Warora, this afternoon. The last rites would be held the next morning.
The demise of Mr. Suresh Dhanorkar occurred just two days after his father, Mr. Narayan Dhanorkar (80) died in Nagpur on the 27th of May, Saturday evening after a prolonged illness. Mr. Suresh Dhanorkar could not attend the last rites of his father, as he was admitted to the hospital due to his health.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor condoled the Congress MP’s death and said, “Sad to learn that our @INCIndia parliamentary colleague, Suresh Narayan Dhanorkar (MP from Chandrapur constituency in Maharashtra) passed away overnight, the second demise of a Congress MP during the 17th Lok Sabha. He was only 47. My condolences to his loved ones. Om Shanti.”
Meanwhile, the last rites of Mr. Suresh Dhanorkar would be held on the 31st of May, in his hometown, Nagpur.
