New Delhi: Former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor lost his cool on Wednesday, when asked he was asked about the probe into the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.
On Twitter, Shashi Tharoor wrote, “Scummy channel accuses me of evading questions. I speak to the police &investigators, not to self-appointed vigilante liars. Told them so.”
“These vile people have sunk so low today in their venal desire to profit from a personal tragedy that my 17month-old silence finally cracked.”
“I let myself down by shouting in fury at a badgering hack whom i had often been kind to. Won’t again. I regret giving them the satisfaction.”
He also Tweeted, “Amused to see my comment to the 1 channel that stalked me at home &at Tvm airport is being twisted as an attack on all media. Taking refuge?”
“Let’s be clear: only 1 channel ran a witch-hunt yesterday all evening, lied&distorted facts, aired innuendo, ran a survey on purported guilt.”
“It suits gutter journalists 2 pretend I attacked their entire fraternity.I attacked only those who put exploitation of tragedy above justice.”
