NTR district: Authorities from NTR district and Suryapet district in Telangana recently convened at the inter-state border check posts for a crucial meeting. The meeting is chaired by key officials including NTR district collector S Dilli Rao and Suryapet district collector S Venkata Rao. The meeting aimed at curbing the illicit transfer of money and valuables across state borders ahead of the upcoming elections.
During the session, emphasis was laid on the presence of 5 joint check posts established between the districts. Shockingly, it was revealed that valuables totaling Rs. 3.60 crores, with Rs. 1.5 crores in cash, had been confiscated in the past ten days alone. Moreover, the authorities disclosed that a total of 9 interstate check posts were operational across 4 police station limits, with round-the-clock monitoring in place.
In a display of unity and cooperation, both districts resolved to work hand in hand, with Suryapet collector Venkata Rao expressing gratitude for NTR’s past support during elections. To streamline efforts, integrated checklists involving over ten members were established for enhanced efficiency and coordination.
